Miss Marissa will be kicking off her Mindfulness Kids series this summer!
Miss Marissa will be offering in-person classes and events as well as online videos focusing on mindfulness techniques for children and families.
Mindfulness, in it's simplest form, is about paying attention to what's going on inside our bodies (physical sensations, thoughts, emotions, feelings, etc.) as well as what is going on outside our bodies. Mindfulness practices include healthy movement like yoga and dance, breathwork, guided meditation, stories, play and lots of fun! Mindfulness helps kids learn about emotions and how to handle emotions; focus and concentration, positive mindset and confidence; as well as the importance of kindness and compassion.
