Marissa Phelps and Lindsey Phelps Wright are the Owners of Zen Den. They are sisters who grew up in Rotterdam. It was their dream to open up a holistic wellness studio and help individuals and communities feel good now!
Marissa earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Fordham University in NYC. She concentrated in Management and International Business. Marissa has worked in the field of Sales and Staffing & Recruiting for close to 15 years. Her career allowed her to live and work in beautiful places including San Francisco, Hong Kong, Kauai, and Philadelphia.
Marissa has over 10 years experience teaching a variety of health and fitness classes. She has multiple certifications in different wellness areas and loves coaching and inspiring mindfulness & confidence in the next generation of young women.
Lindsey earned a B.S. in Anthropology from SUNY Albany, M.S. in Education from The College of Saint Rose, and currently holds a NYS License for Massage Therapy. Lindsey currently resides in Albany with her beautiful family.
Prior to opening Zen Den, Lindsey was a public-school teacher in Hawaii for almost a decade. Travel has been an important part of her life and her experiences led her to the wellness industry. She loves incorporating holistic and spiritual aspects into massage therapy. She loves being back home and working in the community that means so much to her.
